Whipper, The Awesome Mutant Parakeet!

When Whipper was born he was rejected by his own mom for being so unique and was even removed from the cage twice. Fortunately, his owner, Julie Hayward, wasn't so quickly put off by his moptop appearances and saved him. She has taken so proper care of him ever since.

Along with his wavy coiffure of long feathers, Whipper also makes sounds that are odd for his kind. His vet was the one who discovered that he was a genetic mutant. His feathers are reportedly so soft and the light noises he makes are really amazing. This might stem somewhat from being isolated from other budgies at such a young age. Mutants usually have health problems that can make life tough for them. For Whipper he also differs from his peers by having short, flightless wings, and he is supposedly blind.
Whipper is classified as a "feather duster" variety and is the 4th of his class. He differs from the other 3 feather dusters because he's mobile and interactive. The other 3 acknowledged feather dusters would just sit in the bottom of their cages and stare. For the most part, Whipper does common budgie things.
