Bird’s fun time at ‘Sun Conure Aviary

Conures are quite curious parrots and Sun conures are one of the most curious, loud and energetic among them. These parrots live in a flock of 30-40 in wild, spend time playing, feeding and socializing with each other.

Sri Swamiji recognized each of these aspects of how parrots live in wild to build Sun Conure Aviary. Parrots are more healthy and happy if they're in pairs and flock, as they do in wild. They're safer so that one parrot in the flock can warn others with alarming screeches, it was also confirmed that parrots in pairs have considerably good longevity as well.

Shukavana hosts an elite “Sun Conure Aviary” to host around 200 Sun conures. These parrots swing, twigs of stems, play hanging upside down the chain, chew the leaves and preen each other and feed their fit pair. Sri Swamiji spends a good time with these parrots, feeding them with seeds, almonds, treat and hand feeding recipe.

Adult parrot nurses their young ones and the young chicks after fledgling are presented to the flock by their own parents as it's like the life in the wild. Visitors can also spend time feeding these parrots. Sri Swamiji’s work to preserve these threatened species and communicating with them is excellent. This work produced in human-friendly Sun parakeets, in contrast to species aggression and they also appreciate playing on people’s shoulders.
